Congratulations to Lisa Travis! – Tennessee Health Science Library Association

On Friday at the Lincoln Memorial University DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine awards ceremony, Lisa was surprised with two awards. One was an “Honorary LMU-DCOM Alumni Association Membership”.

The plaque reads as follows:

“You have demonstrated continuous professionalism, talent, expertise and attention to us as Alumni. We have been able to become better physicians because of you. We are proud and pleased to have you as an honorary member of the LMU-DCOM Alumni Association.”

She was also selected for the Bob Jackson Service Award. More information about that award follows:

The LMU-DCOM inaugural class established the Bob Jackson Service Award to recognize those whose life and community service clearly exemplify a true spirit of love and helpfulness to others. The Award is meant to recognize those who demonstrate qualities such as a significant contribution to public service, giving of themselves regardless of compensation, providing services without expectation of remuneration, going above and beyond a job description and giving a great service to LMUDCOM. The Bob Jackson Service Award was decided upon by the DCOM Class of 2013 graduates.
